While getting ready for the party, Vivianne and Klaus discuss the factions and how she's going to tell Armand that the wedding is off first. Armand comes in and reveals that he has known she has been running off countless times and when he flees, she goes after him until he slaps her across the face. While he keeps insulting her about her falling for Klaus, she slaps him across the face, and she apologizes to the guests after Armand walks off. She tells them that the engagement is off, causing some angry tones and while trying to walk away, Solomon comes towards her until Klaus stops him. It is then revealed that Vivianne had turned before the wedding so the werewolves could have her more than the witches. The witches went ballistic after finding this out and a fight ensued between the factions once more. In this small fight at a party to celebrate the welcome of the Vampire Faction into their alliance, witches are killed and wounded. Vivianne was described as a beautiful young witch, with dark onyx eyes, raven hair and porcelain skin. Due to her appearance, Klaus almost mistook her for a vampire. They discover that their old friend Marcel Gerard has taken control of the supernatural community and is ruling with an iron fist. The first season describes how Klaus's mystical child is going to be born and speaks of the threats that the Originals together must keep her safe from. It also details the war between vampires, witches and werewolves. The series ends with the child being born – a baby girl named Hope and being given to Rebekah to hide and protect after Klaus and Hayley fake her death to ensure her safety. Hayley is turned into a hybrid through Hope's blood after being murdered when giving birth. While the siblings are happy they finally have control over their city, Klaus is still dissatisfied. He wants more power, and he manages to find a witch who can help him get it by performing a spell.
